Google Video, Vimeo, Youtube, these social video sharing sites have tons of content, but i doubt that it’s legal to download it to your hard drive.
But if you can why not? don’t say I didn’t warned you, perhaps you want to have it on you phone so you can view it somewhere private, or perhaps you just want to be the “Bida” (popular to friends) and share it to your friends without the need to have an internet connection.

There are lot’s of method to do this, one is by using File2HD.com, this site lets you download everything on a site, may it be audio, movie, link, applications, objects, style sheets, or images (there are sites disables image doanloading).

Frist Make sure you are using firefox, when you visit this site, then paste in the URL of the youtube page, make sure you checked “i have read and agree to the terms of service” (which you will not read anyway) select which kind of file you want to download since we want to extract the video select movies and click “get files”, then the page will reload and will have a list of available movies you can download, just right-click it and choose “save link as” (make sure you’re on firefox) and now you’re ripping a video from the web.
Now all you need to do is convert the FLV to MP4 or to any file format your mobile phone support and enjoy. Oh did I say that you can also download copyrighted music from any site (e.g. imeem) with file to hd? of course that is piracy and I don’t recommend doing that. I do not support piracy! to hell with pirates
