Today at PMA 2010 Samsung announced their first tough cameras. The Samsung AQ100 is a 12 megapixel camera that is waterproof upto 10 feet. It features 5x optical zoom and 720p HD video shooting. To make underwater shooting easier Samsung included an Aqua Mode, that fine tunes settings to enable you to shoot better underwater photos.
Sony entered the Tough Compact Digital Camera arena with the upcoming DSC-TX5. This is what I’ve been waiting for, the successor to Lumix TS1 is here and of-course it is called the TS2. You can say that it is tougher than the TS1 just by looking at it, it’s a bit more rugged but still have that distinctive toughbook look.
