We showed you the basic difference between the LX5 and the LX3, but the newer rendition got something more. According to photoradar’s review, the new LX5 has a new more sensitive 10.1 megapixel CCD sensor, Venus Engine FHD allows a more advanced signal processing, and a brighter f 2.0 aperture shoots excellent photos in low light. Just take at these low light sample photos taken with the LX5. Full size flickr link [...]
It’s not hard to notice that Samsung is doing a big marketing campaign to sell the ST550, you can see an ad of it everywhere, in the bus, on the train, the TV, it even have a huge billboard on one of our major highway. Perhaps they understand how hard is it to shoot a perfect self portrait, and Samsung wants to let everyone know that with the ST550 there’s [...]
This projector enabled compact digital camera was announced by Nikon last August 4 and we already seen ads of the Coolpix S1000pj featuring Many Pacquiao holding it after his fight with Miguel Cotto. Being able to share your photos instantly by beaming it onto any surface is a lot better than watching them on a tiny screen while getting squished cheek to cheek with your acne infected cousin. The Coolpix [...]
The Samsung NV24 HD Digital Camera was released early 2008 and is one of the first bread of compact digital camera to capture HD (720p) movies at 30 frames-per-second. Thanks to it’s 10 megapixel resolution sensor, it was able to capture stunning stills and amazing high definition movies which you can view with your HDTV via HDMI. Another great feature of the NV24HD is it’s bright 2.5″ AMOLED screen giving [...]
Today after watching UP in iMax 3D we walked by a Local Electronics Store to see what’s currently available. A Sony sales rep showed me the new camera from sony the Cyber-shot WX1, she pointed out that it’s Sony’s fix to low light shooting problems. She gave me a leaflet but I didnt accept it since I can have more information about the Cyber-shot WX1 online. When I get home [...]
I really liked the Leica M9, the only problem is the price. At around US: $6,995 or £4,850 inc VAT (body only), this camera is not for the shallow pocket. The M9 is the worlds first Digital rangefinder camera with a 24×36 full-frame sensor mad by Leica. But hey It’s the first and when the time comes that I can afford it, the specs will be better and the price [...]
The Panasonic GF1 seems to be a better Micro Four Thirds than the E-P1 but we can never say until we see sample photos to show how the GF1 performs. The Photogtaphyblog have some sample photos from a pre-production unit of the Panasonic GF1, taken the Euripean press introduction in Berlin. Photos were taken with the 20mm f/1.7 lens and the GF1 set to the highest resolution.
Canon posted several sample shots taken with EOS-7D on their website. Those shots are quite good but Flickr have more. If you search for Canon 7D on Flickr you’ll see more samples, and here’s some of my favorite. More after the fold.
Wow! Canon really knows how to impress it’s target market. These Samples looks really good, look at the girls portrait white balance is set to auto and yet it produces beautiful colours. They also used a fast prime lens EF50mm f/1.2 USM set at f/2.8. The photographers who took these photo are pro’s and knows how to set good lighting and camera setting, don’t expect that the D7 can do [...]
