DpReview member Alexramos posted photos of Samsung’s upcoming mirror-less camera with interchangeable lenses. As the photo reveals, the Samsung NX100 includes a 20-50mm NX lens which doesn’t have OIS image stabilization. The second photo reveals the parts of the NX100 and like the Olympus E-P1 it doesn’t appear to have a built-in flash.

Masaya Maeda, head of the Image Communication Products division at Canon yesterday said that they are working on a mirror less smaller version of its Digital SLR line. According to Maeda: “It’s not a question of whether or not you have a mirror. There is a consumer need for good-quality cameras to be made smaller,” Maeda understands the need for a smaller camera that can produce results similar to photos [...]

October 5, 2009 – London, Olympus announced the successor to their first compact micro four-thirds system (Olympus E-P1), the new PEN E-P2. Although it manage to fix several quirks of the previous model it STILL misses some critical points. First let’s talk about what’s new in the latest rendition of the PEN. The most noticeable change is it’s accessory port which sits just above the huge LCD screen. It still [...]

The Panasonic GF1 seems to be a better Micro Four Thirds than the E-P1 but we can never say until we see sample photos to show how the GF1 performs. The Photogtaphyblog have some sample photos from a pre-production unit of the Panasonic GF1, taken the Euripean press introduction in Berlin. Photos were taken with the 20mm f/1.7 lens and the GF1 set to the highest resolution.

Earlier we posted a side-by-side photo of the GF1 and E-P1. Tonight we get to see the real Lumix GF1 and the obvouse similarities between the two are 720p video, HDMI output and same 12.1 Megapixel sensor. Indeed the GF1 is made to go head-to-head with the PEN. But Panasonics new micro four thirds have a built in pop up flash, a higher resolution LCD (460,000 compared to EP-1′s 230,000 [...]

Searching for Panasonic GF1 micro four thirds camera had lead me to this photo. It’s a side by side comparison of the E-P1 compared to the upcoming GF1.

To all those guys who expect that next PEN (E-P2) to have a built-in viewfinder listen up, I found a photo of the supposedly next micro-fourthirds from Olympus and it’ll break your already broken heart. Sorry guys, the next Olympus PEN will don’t have a built-in view finder. But the externeal EVF slot is a hint that there’s an external viewfinder accessory for it.

According to a French Magazine, an Olympus insider revealed the next update to the E-P1 the Olympus E-P2 will have a built in viewfinder and will be released this year-end.

Finally this is it! The rumored Panasonic Micro Four Thirds is rumor no more. Check out these photos leaked from a Chinese forum, it looks smaller than Olympus E-P1, has no view finder but does have a pop-up flash. This Panasonic Counterpart of Olympus E-P1 captures AVCHD format 720p videos though other specs like megapixels, ISO sensitivity are still undisclosed.
