Firefox 3.6 is now official, no more beta label! which means that its now a Final Product, the resting phase is over and this time lets just hope that the bugs are finally fixed.

As of this very minute Firefox 3.6 have been downloaded 6,301,335 times and downloads grows by-the-second, this makes me think that it’s time to join the band wagon and upgrade to Firefox 3.6. But before I do that letme check out what’s new in Firefox.

  • Personas – its the same old firefox theme but it now allows users to change Firefox’s theme with one cliek, it kinda reminds me of Google Chrome.
  • Enhanced third-paty Application integration – does this mean no more crashing when opening links from Apple Mail and iTunes?
  • New CSS attribute support – this includes gradients, pointer events and background sizing.
  • DOM and HTML5 support – includes drag and drop API, the File API and HTML 5 Video.
  • WOFF font Support – sounds like a new downloadble font format.
  • Improved Javascript performance, start up time and browser responsiveness
  • Native Video can be displayed full screen
  • Available in more than 70 languages, sorry no Tagalog or Filipino language support yet.
  • Protection from out-of-date plugins

Although the only thing that that catches my attention are, Personas, HTML5 Videos and the promise of a faster user experience, there’s nothing that could stop me from upgrading to Firefox 3.6.

To upgrade your Firefox you can go to Help menu and upgrade firefox from there, or you can also download Firefox 3.6 here.
