Like the Satio, Sony Ericsson today also halted the sales of the Aino. We reviewed the Aino earlier and talked about several user complaints including: Extremely laggy OS when multi-tasking, odd touch/non-touch combination, camera taking more than 10 seconds to move from one picture to another, PS3 connectivity doesn’t work constantly and Media player are slow to react. It seems like Sony Ericsson’s Quality Control is not efficient in detecting problems before the public experienced these glitches.

However Sony Ericsson stated that “We are working as quickly as we can to solve it. Aino has sold limited numbers in the UK and this issue affects a very small number of consumers.” But the damage is done, and It is not clear if they will issue a recall order to all the Aino that have been sold. Three lessons have learned:

  1. Research before you buy
  2. Don’t be an early adapter wait two to six month
  3. The Ads are meant to sell don’t beleive everythig it says.
