photo samsung lucidoI used to own a Samsung mobile phone (D900 to be specific) I like the slide up form factor. The problem with slide up phones is its data cable that connects the screen to the phone unit will eventually get broken (mine lasted for 3 years). I’m on a hunt for a Samsung brand bar type phone and I stumbled on this slim, slick and luxurious phone the Samsung Lucido.

Attractive Design and Gorgeous Display

The Lucido is a slim bar shaped phone (11.8mm thin) that is built with an anti-scratch metal body giving a classy feel to it. The AMOLED display produces 262k color and delivers brighter and vibrant display even under direct sunlight. The built in accelerometer enables it to detect which way you’re holding the phone then change it to landscape or portrait view automatically.

Powerful Camera and GPS

Lucido includes a powerful 5 Megapixel camera to produce photos with amazing high resolution and Auto-Focus function to make shooting moving subject easier than ever. It’s also equipped with powered LED flash for shooting night portraits and smile shutter that detects smiles and shoot photo at the right time. The 4x Digital Zoom gets you closer to your subject. The Samsung Lucido features built in GPS which you can use with Google Maps. I just hope that photos taken with the Lucido is automatically Geotagged.

A review by mobile-review.com

At 88 grams and 11.8mm thickness the Lucido is perfect for my pocket, and I find the metal finish very attractive. The Lucido is for those who needs a basic phone with a good camera and GPS, I could consider higher end higher end Omnia Pro or the Samsung Rouge but the Lucido’s (Samsung S7220) simplicity and slick design is a definite buying factor.
