The Cube by Mintpass combines current technology with retro design. I almost pee my pants off when I see “the cube”, but then I realized that it’s a concept product, there’s no specs, not even an information when will the cube be available.
Minpass did not stopped with “The Cube” they also conceptualized Mint Robot#3 which they call “The Music Tank”. Like “The Cube”, the Mint Robot #3 is a music player but with an Endless Track , and it’s meant to compete with ZMP’s Miuro and Sony’s Rolly. Features and Photos of the Music Tank after the Cut.
Here’s a list of features Mintpass want’s to include in the Mint Robot #3
- The tank can be controlled with a remote device (mint pad) via Wi-Fi or bluetooth, or with your computer.
- The tank will use ultrasonic sensor and pyroelectric sensor to detect a person and follow him around at a specific distance.
- File transfer is done via USB port, and music can also be streamed via Wi-Fi
- On both side of the tank are high powered speakers
- Tanks-2-Tank Networking will enable the the Tank to detect each other and play different part of the music to produce 3D surround sound effect.
Now, just don’t forget that the Mint Robot #3 aka The Music Tank is a concept product, but if Mintpass will make this thing to life I suggest that they add these things to its features.
- A charging cradle or dock would be nice, so The Tank can just dock itself when it detect that there’s no sufficient power.
- iPod and iPhone support please
- A basic Tank Unit that plays both highs, mids, and lows. But there should be three optional units that would play only the high, the mids or the lows. Pwehaps a bigger Tank called the “Bass Tank”
- Make it shock proof and water proof, some one might accidentally kick this cute little thing.
- Lastly, put a micro stun gun option, or a water squinter to repel house hold pets or pests too so this thing can double as a pest exterminator too.
