Western Digital just entered the USB 3.0 arena with its MyBook 3.0 HBA, it still have the distinctive MyBook design which makes it looks slick and manimalist (compared to Buffalos Drive Station).
Of-course we know that having USB 3.0 makes it capable of tranfer rate of up to 5Gb/s, faster than USB 2.0, Firewire 800 or even eSATA. The 1TB MyBook 3.0 will cost $180 drive only, you at $20 to avail to the kit which will include USB 3.0 express card, perfect for those who doesn’t have one yet. Its also available in a bigger 2 TB at around $280 US.
The only downside is, it currently works only on windows PC since there’s no USB 3.0 card for the Mac Pro, and the iMac and Macbooks still doesn’t have USB 3.0 built it.
