Friendster Phishing (fake friendster login)

What is Phishing? Phising is a method of using a fake website to let unsuspecting users input usernames and passwords or even credit card information by acting as a legitimate website.

I’ve been using the web for almost a decade so i guess I would not be a victim (who knows?), till one day my buddy Mark dropped by used my wifi to use friendster, he then told us “Hey look, a friend private messaged me and give a link to her private pictures”, indeed this friend is a friend he knows, so Mark clicked on the link but instead of seeing private photos of her friend he was lead to a friendster login page, I got suspicious, the page is hosted on blogspot, which is unusual and imposible… but then he tried to login.. when he login he is redirected to another site… I then asked him to get back to the site he visited… and i come to a conclusion that the site where Mark entered his friendster login name and password… I then asked him to login to the REAL friendster.com site and change his username and password imediately, this way the the hacker cant hack to his account..

I guess Friendster should do something bout this, some sites already use some methods of prventing phishing… or let’s just make sure that we input usernames and passwords to a REAL site..
