Yamaha Thailand have been creating lately, and one of their new creation is the Filano. The first thing that enters my mind when I heard the new scooters name is that it’s an updated all new Fino 2012 but I’m wrong, as it appears that the Filano is a totally new motorcycle line. It’s like a male version of the Fiore (Thai).
When you look at the Filano, the rear tail light and the handle bar mounted headlight gives a Modern Euro feel, while the front signal lights reminds of the ones on the first generation Mio. It’s like a perfect blend between Modern, Retro and Euro style. Other features worth looking at includes the front gas inlet, 12 inch tires, three spoke mags, and a spacious under box. Like the Fiore, the Filano features a 113cc 4 stroke, SOHC dual valve air-cooled engine with Smart injector YM-Fi technology for better fuel efficiency. Full specs displayed below.

I have no idea about the price and when will the Filano 2011 will be available in the Philippines, will let you know as soon as an importer in Caloocan have one.

The Filano unlike the Fiore feels more classy. The red, blue, and black looks striking while the white and yellow have a subtle feel to it. If I can buy it now, I’ll go for the yellow as it looks simple, and it have a hint of green making it hard to distinguish on the road.
