Speed Racer

I used to watch this Cartoon when I was still a kid and now that they’ve made a movie out of it I’m compelled to wait and watch this flick when it hits the theaters.

Plot Summary:

This movie is about Speed Racer (yes, that is his name, cool huh?) He is a natural behind the wheel. Born to race cars, Speed is aggressive, instinctive and, most of all, fearless. When Speed turned down an offer from Royalton Industries he not only infuriates the company’s maniacal owner but uncovers a terrible secret-some of the biggest races are being fixed by a handful of ruthless moguls who manipulate the top drivers to boost profits. With the offer to Speed denied, Royalton wants to ensure that Speed will not win races. Speed finds support from his parents and his girlfriend Trixie. Speed also teams with his one-time rival-the mysterious Racer X – to win the race that had taken his brother’s life: the death-defying, cross-country rally known as The Crucible.

If you used to watch the cartoon series then this movie may also raise your curiousity. Will this movie top or even be on an even scale as the cartoon series or will this be just another movie that will leave its viewers disappointed thinking it was just a waste of time and money. Well, we won’t know until we have seen the film, so why not give it a chance and you can thank me or kill me later.
