The free program brings several of the Kindle’s functions to the iPod and iPhone’s much smaller, non-E-Ink screen, including the same electronic books, magazines and newspapers that Kindle owners can buy, and the ability to change text size, add bookmarks, note and highlight stuff.

The news about the Kindle coming to cellphones was first heard when Amazon‘s VP for Kindle, Ian Freed gave the confirmation last month.

If you already own a Kindle and you have an iPhone or an iPod Touch then you don’t have to worry because Amazon‘s program syncs the two so that you can keep your bookmarks on both devices.

If you are still wondering or looking for reasons to buy or not to buy a Kindle then we might just have the thing for you. We already made a post abot the reasons to buy or not to buy the new Kindle 2. [Gizmodo]
