Wordpress development team issued a Security Update after a discovery of a vulnerability involving a specially crafted URL that could allow an attacker to bypass a security check to certify a user requested password request. Which will result the admin account to have it’s password reset. Although your Wordpress account is not compromised the emails requesting for a password change could be really annoying.
So this means there’s no need to panic. The vulnerability could not harm you in any way, but it’s always good to update.
