The New WordPress Security Release involves fixes on the privilege escalation issues for 2.8.1. According to the WordPress Develeopment Community this upgrading is highly recommended. They admitted that some areas were overlooked and 2.3.8 should fix them.
Time to hit the update button again.. whew..
