Limit Post Automatically on WordPress 2.6

Ever wonder if there’s a way to limit your post content without using the more tag which insert a break-point to cut your post?, Yes theres is, of course this does not limit the content of your post it just limit what wordpress shows on your home page, archive, category, and search pages.

WP Limit Post Automatically by Jent Tornell works perfect on wordpress 2.6, the interface is pretty simple you can choose to limit the post by word, letters, first paragraph or none (disables it). You can indicate number od letters/words but the default is 300, ending text before showing the readmore text link that leads to the post page. The latest version gives the option to cut embed and img tags which will disable embedded images and videos on your home page.

    Hi, is there a way to prevent the “read more” link on specific post ? i.e. especially if it is a short post and there is no more to read … Great plugin otherwise! Nice job.

    I can not get the setup screen for “WP Limit Post Automatically” in the new WP2.71. On download all I get is a PHP file.
