According to reports, Olympus is set out for a majoy software update to their PEN Micro Four Thirds camera. It should be posted on April 22 and will come with a Digital Camera App to make updating easier.

The update will make the E-P1, E-P2 and E-PL1 auto-focus faster regardless of lens. The earlier model E-P1 and E-P2 will feature continuous auto-focusing in movie mode which was only available on the later E-PL1 model, but it will only work on the 14-140mm and 9-18mm lenses.

Other update will include proper frame rate in live view for all three PEN models while using 9-18mm lens, as well as camera menu and recording view will be available in in the E-P1 and E-P2 when the electronic view finder VF-2 is attached. The update will also fix several known issues in the PEN line.
