I really liked the Leica M9, the only problem is the price. At around US: $6,995  or £4,850 inc VAT (body only), this camera is not for the shallow pocket. The M9 is the worlds first Digital rangefinder camera with a 24×36 full-frame sensor mad by Leica. But hey It’s the first and when the time comes that I can afford it, the specs will be better and the price too.

Last time we get to see photographers review of the Leica M9. Today we get to see some samples taken by some lucky guys and some posted on flickr, these samples makes me want to own the M9 more and more.

Adan of L-camera forums posted some crops from the jpeg versions of photos taken in Salt Lake. No post-processing except for cropping.

In the sample photo above is an M8 on pedestal: taken at ISO 2500, mixed tungsten spotlight overhead and window daylight, 135 TE @ f/4 and 1/60th (so a touch of camera shake), “normal” sharpening setting.

According to him Leica has vastly improved the sharpening algorithms. Thesres no trace of the video-like halos appeared in the M8. On the samples you’ll notice that ISO 2500 is extremely noise-free (for the ISO). Thanks digitalimageinsider for the link.
