The Samsung ST5500 which will be available in the first quarter of 2010 comes with impressive features.
It have a massive 14.2 megapixel resolution, 3.5 inch touch screen LCD and a huge 7x optical zoom. It also have a built in 100MB of memory and includes a memory slot that supports microSD cards up to 8GB. The ST5500 can record 720p HD videos at 30 frames per second, supports ISO from 80 to 3200 and its fast shutter speeds up to 1/2000 is fast enough for a compact camera. Unlike the ST500 and ST550 this thing doesn’t have a front LCD but it offers something better.
Aside from the usual, the ST5500 includes wi-fi and bluetooth module. The Wi-Fi functions include, sending photos via email, Viewing photos on a DLNA TV or other devices, Sending and recieving photos to and from another camera, and lastly uploading photos and videos to youtube and othersimilar sites. Pretty cool eh? And oh did I say it also have bluetooth so you can send photos to other bluetooth enabled device such as laptaps and mobile phones?
But Samsung did not stopped there, the ST550 seems to have a GPS (global positioning system) module built-in (now you can throw that pesky Eye-Fi Geo card away). I had a chance to look at its complete specs posted on the manual and the list doesn’t include GPS but if you high light the blank row below the DNLA row copy it and paste it somewhere you’ll paste the GPS information. And when you search through the entire PDF it’ll show instructions on using the GPS module. Checkout the screenshots below:

However PDF manual have been removed from FCC website.

Im not sure if Samsung officially announced the ST5500 but it sounds like a good camera, the addition of GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi will make it a trend setter in the digital photography market.
