Reviews
Photography Blog Rated the ST550 4/5 in terms of Design, 4/5 Features, 4.5/5 Ease-of-use, 3.5 Image Quaity and 3.5 Value for money.
The Samsung ST550 is ultimately a very fun camera to use, despite its short-comings, thanks to its genuinely useful technological innovations. If you can’t literally buy into that, then you should look elsewhere – try the ST550 out for yourself, though, and we’ll bet that you’ll be converted.
Elias Platiras of pcadvisor.co.uk also reviewed the ST550 and they say that it do produce good image quality, but not impressive and needs some refinement. And although they like the innovation of a second screen they’re not convince that most people need one. They also mentioned the poor battery performance issue. Full Review here.
On an early review made by Cnet UK, they mentioned that design is brilliand but they indicate that photo quality is pretty much ordinary. I bet this means it could not compete with the Canon S90 in terms of image quality. You can read the complete review here.
If you like to take self protrait then the Samsung ST550 is perfect for you, but don’t expect above average image quality and as other reviewers mentioned, an additional battery is a must. BUT otherwise having a front lcd screen will not benefit you much you can cehck out other cameras that are tried and tested to produce superb image quality at equal or cheaper price tag. The Dual LCD Samsung ST550 / TL225 is available in black, orange, gold and purple at a price of £300 / $350.
