The Samsung NV24 HD Digital Camera was released early 2008 and is one of the first bread of compact digital camera to capture HD (720p) movies at 30 frames-per-second. Thanks to it’s 10 megapixel resolution sensor, it was able to capture stunning stills and amazing high definition movies which you can view with your HDTV via HDMI.

Personal and Expert Reviews

I bought the NV24HD last year as a gift to my wife and she totally loved it. At first she find the touch button controls awkward but as she use it more often she gets comfortable  and find it easier and faster than using buttons/menu dials common to other digital cameras. Image stabilization is great and focuses fast, the flash is powerful that you need to step backward and zoom rather than shooting up close. 720p movies are great but videos can get really grainy when shooting in low light. Too bad we have to sell it to get a waterproof digicam.

The Samsung NV24HD is a bit different to the majority of other compact digital cameras. It has some extra, useful features such as a manual exposure control and High Definition movies. Photo Quality and Samples

According to photographyblog the noise is reasonably kept at bay up to and including ISO 800, at ISO 1600 detail is noticeably soft, while ISO 3200 reveals a smearing of detail and results closer to an Impressionist painting than a photograph. It’s far from being even close to the worst example we’ve seen however, meaning it can be lived with at a push. To counter this I use the built-in flash when the ambient light is insufficient.
