According to photorumors.com and based to their Asian source Panasonic will be announcing six new digital cameras at the 2010 CES namely FP1, FP3, F3, FH3, FH20. Some of these new Lumix will Venus Engine IV image processor, 4x to 8x optical zoom and sensors up to 14.1 megapixels.

The FP1 and FP3 both features an ultra compact design 4x optical zoom, 720p HD video recording at 30 fps, 0.97 start up time, and are available in different colours. The difference is that the FP3 is offers 14.1 megapixel sensor, 3 inch touch screen LCD, and a shorter shutter release lag of 0.006 making it a higher end model compared to the FP1 which only features 12.1 megapixel sensor, a slower shutter 0.001 slower than the FP3 and a smaller 2.7″ LCD screen without touch screen.

The Panasonic Lumix F3 is a 12.1 mp camera with 4x optical zoom, records 720p HD movies at 30fps, features face detection and will be available in silber and black, I bet the Lumix F3 is cheaper yet bulkier alternative to the slick and slim FP series.

The Lumix FH20, FH1, and FH3 will include Venues Engine IV and will alaso able to shoot 30fps 720p HD videos. The Lumix FH20 will stand out with its powerful optical zoom, while the FH1 and FH2 will both have 5x zoom but the FH1 will only be provided with 12 megapixel sensor making the FH2 a higher end alternative with its 14 megapixel sensor.

All of these upcoming Panasonic cameras will support SDXC memory cards, which they will also introduced in the Consumer Electronic Show 2010. The memory cards will be available in 48GB and 64GB variants and could soon reach up to 1 terabyte.

I’m a bit disappointed that there will be no new tough camera Panasonic Lumix TS2 nor a newer huge sensor portable upgrade to the Lumix LX3 (The LX4). But these are just rumors, although it seems reliable, let’s just wait and to see.
