WordPress development team issued a Security Update after a discovery of a vulnerability involving a specially crafted URL that could allow an attacker to bypass a security check to certify a user requested password request. Which will result the admin account to have it’s password reset. Although your WordPress account is not compromised the emails requesting for a password change could be really annoying.
The New WordPress Security Release involves fixes on the privilege escalation issues for 2.8.1. According to the WordPress Develeopment Community this upgrading is highly recommended. They admitted that some areas were overlooked and 2.3.8 should fix them. Time to hit the update button again.. whew..

Comment author URLs were not fully sanitized when displayed in the admin. This could be exploited to redirect you away from the admin to another site.”, now that’s freakin scary.. thanks to automatic upgrade.
