Wordpress 2.5 is “Almost” here…

I’ve been wordpressing for several hours now, found several wordpress tools for my other blogs, and of-course some bitter truth on wordpress, and less than an hour i saw this news on woedpress dashboard about the upcoming wordpress version 2.5, there are some complains about wordpress admin section and I’m glad that 2.5 addresses and introduced new Administration functions.

A customizable dashboard, multi-file upload, built-in galleries, one-click plugin upgrades, tag management, built-in Gravatars, full text feeds, and faster load times sound interesting to you? Then WordPress 2.5 might be the release for you. It’s been in the oven for a while, and we’re finally ready to open the doors a bit to give you a taste.

Finally!, a customizable dashboard built-in, a multi-file upload is a great time-saver, gallery functionality is awesome! finally there’s no need for third party plug-ins to achieve the same effect, faster load times, gravatars. One-click plugin upgrades is the best thing next to the auto-upgrade wordpress plugin which automatically upgrades only your wordpress installation and not the plugins.

Exiting indeed but the only drawbacks is backward compatibility to plugins and themes made for 2.3. and now another question. WHY 2.5?, where is 2.4?
