We all know that WordPress is the one of the best free web publishing platform out there, but sometimes Sh*t happens, like the other day I can’t log in, when i go to the login page and enter the right password it just reloads the login page and wont load the Dashboard, even though I am certain that my password is correct I do a password reset but still it won’t accept the password sent by wordpress.
Until some tech guys from my server admin tried fixing it by manipulating the database, it took hours till they figured out that it’s the Plug-ins, yes the plugins that makes WordPress ever so wonderful actually prevents me from logging in, they guys renamed the plugin folder and i was able to login, my next move it to hide the plugin folder one by one (with my FTP app) till i can login.
To temporarily hide the plugin folder put a dot (.) before the foldername, and remove the dot to unhide. Once I’m logged in I unhidden the plugin folder and update them one by one and upgrade wordpress 2.7 to 2.8. Hope you guys find this helpful.
