Do you have an Aus Eee PC? Do you want to run Mac Os X in it? IF your answer is yes then you’ll need three more things and you are ready to go Mac on your EeePC. You’ll need a tweaked OS X image, an external DVD drive, and the patience to run through all the system configuration and terminal tweaks. If you have all of these then you are ready to take a look at Wired’s detailed How-To WiKi but first you should know that are about to violate Mac OS X’s licensing agreement, which specifically states that use must be limited to Apple hardware, so if violating Apple’s EULA is bothering you then you better stop now, if not then proceed with caution.
If you still wanted to install MAc Os X in you EeePC then you should also be adviced that there are some technical issues when you install OS X in your non-Mac PC, some of them include: no flash and no soun, ethernet doesn’t work, No F-keys support and WiFi needs a third party app to work, though there are some solution to some of these problems posted in the detailed installation from Wired.
If you are still interested then its time for you to take a look at Wired’s detailed installation process.
You may ask why would anyone even try to install Mac OS X after we posted the possible problems that you may encounter? Maybe we’re looking for a challenge? Maybe we’re some techie masochist that needs to get through some painful process and get our satifying reward at the end (And the author says that it runs decntly swift even with the stock 1gig or ram)? maybe we’re just curious? Whatever reason someone may have, isn’t it fulfilling to finish a challenge an be able to enjoy your reward after?
