Dan Frakes of Macworld will teach us how to build our very own iPod Stereo System, no more need to buy expensive Stereo Systems for your iPods which usually doesn’t even sound good. At least now we can build our own and we can put on the specs we want for our ‘iPod Stereo’.
So why do we even want to go through all those trouble of building our own stereo when we can buy it and save some trouble of shopping for parts and building our own. Like Dan said, there are several reasons why build your own iPod stereos. For example, a system with separate speakers has the potential to sound better than an all-in-one box. Second, by buying the components separately, you’re future-proofing your system: you can later upgrade to a better amplifier, or a nice receiver, and even use the system for listening to CDs or radio. Apple could also make changes to future iPod models that render current iPod speaker systems obsolete; with a custom stereo, you can just buy a new dock instead of having to replace the whole thing.
